Terms of Use
1. About these Terms
These Terms are an agreement between you and [owner's full legal name], who runs DekDaiDao (เด็กได้ดาว) personally ("we", "us"). They cover the app at app.dekdaidao.com and the site dekdaidao.com. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data and is part of these Terms.
2. What DekDaiDao is
A free stars-and-rewards app for families. Adults give children Stars for Deeds, take Stars away for Oopses, and let children spend Stars on Rewards. Children see their Stars in a read-only Kid view.
DekDaiDao is a prototype offered free of charge. It has no payments, ads or in-app purchases. Stars have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for money; Rewards are whatever your Family decides and are given by you, not by us.
3. Who can use it
- You must be an adult who can enter into a contract under Thai law [age of majority: 20 — confirm].
- Children do not sign in or have accounts. They appear only as Kid profiles that an Adult creates.
- Each Adult belongs to one Family.
4. Parent or legal guardian requirement
Only a parent or legal guardian of a child may add that child as a Kid. When you create a Family, you must tick this statement before continuing:
"I am a parent or legal guardian of the Kids I add, and I accept the Privacy Policy and Terms."
By ticking it you confirm that it is true for every Kid you add, now or later, and that you are entitled to give consent for that child's data to be processed as the Privacy Policy describes.
When you join a Family through an Invite, you must tick this statement:
"I accept the Privacy Policy and Terms, and I'm joining with the permission of this Family's Owner."
By ticking it you confirm that the Family's Owner invited you and agrees that you see and record information about the Family's Kids.
We record when you accepted, which version you accepted, and which statement you ticked. When these Terms or the Privacy Policy change materially, the version changes and you must accept again before continuing.
5. Your account and your Family
- Keep access to your email and Google account secure; anyone who can sign in as you can act as you.
- The Owner controls the Family: inviting and removing Adults, changing roles, transferring ownership and deleting the Family. Owners and Parents can manage Kids, Items and history. Caregivers can give Stars, Oops, and undo their own actions.
- The Owner and Parents are responsible for the information entered about their Kids and for whom they invite.
- The Kid view PIN is a child lock, not a security feature.
6. Acceptable use
Use DekDaiDao only for its purpose: encouraging your own children. Do not:
- add a child you are not a parent or legal guardian of, unless you were invited to an existing Family by its Owner;
- enter sensitive data (health, religion, biometrics and the like) or other people's contact details in names or labels;
- use the app to shame, threaten or harm a child;
- try to access another Family's data, overload or attack the service, or get around its security rules.
7. Availability, backups and changes
The service is provided "as is", without guarantees of availability, accuracy or fitness for a purpose, to the extent the law allows. It works offline, but actions made offline are applied only when the device reconnects, and some may be refused (for example a Redeem when a Kid no longer has enough Stars). Keep your own export (Settings → Export) if your history matters to you. We may change, pause or end the service; if we end it, we will give at least [30 days — confirm] notice by email so you can export your data.
8. Ending your use
- You can delete your account at any time in Settings. An Owner must first transfer ownership or delete the Family for everyone.
- If you do not open the app while signed in for 24 months, your account is deleted after email warnings, as the Privacy Policy describes.
- We may suspend or delete an account that breaks section 6, after notice where reasonable.
9. Liability
To the extent permitted by Thai law, we are not liable for indirect loss, loss of data, or disputes within a Family about Stars or Rewards. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including under the Consumer Protection Act. [Lawyer: confirm wording and whether a cap is appropriate for a free service.]
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. A material change gets a new version, and the app asks you to accept it before you continue. If you do not accept, you can export your data and delete your account.
